Sylvankin are a wonderful not for profit living history demo team operating out of york, england. they give amazing demos of woodworking, bow making and metalworking and on 16th and 17th may 2026 they will be at slane castle each day from 11am - 4pm.

they will be running Blacksmithing demonstrations and workshops. the whole setup is handmade by us and we will use a charcoal forge with hand bellows. The demonstrations will be us engaging with the public as we craft various items alongside the workshops, displaying various techniques and skills in blacksmithing over a charcoal forge.
